Note: Residential building codes generally do NOT require Class A fire-ratings. However, most commercial building codes do require a Class A Fire Rating for fire protection. Always check your local building codes to be sure you are using the proper construction guidelines.
Fire resistant urethane foam beams meet construction guidelines for a Class A Fire Rating. Choose them for additional peace of mind or to meet required building codes.
Fire-resistant foam beams contain flame retardant throughout the product, not just on the surface. According to independent testing, once the ignition flame was removed, the fire resistant urethane foam beam did not continue to flame.
Our flame-retardant foam beams are Custom Tuscany, Custom Woodland, Arched Tuscany and Arched Woodland.
The test results below are for the ASTM E84-90 testing.
