Our customers say... "We liked these so much in our ski house in Lake Tahoe that we ordered more! Now, the downstairs area of our house is homier, cozier, and definitely more beautiful. These look great."
Our Heavy Sandblasted Beam brings a wonderful amount of eye-catching detail and beauty to any home. As an exterior or interior element, the beauty of this beam is certain to make people take notice. With beautifully pronounced grain pattern, deep grooves, prominent knots and more, the look and texture of heavy sandblasted beams will enhance any design.
Made from durable polyurethane, faux wood beams are realistic and strong without sacrificing quality. Molded from a real beam, the deep grooves, grain pattern and knots are all perfectly replicated giving it a highly realistic look while remaining lightweight. Unlike the real thing, this simulated wood beam will withstand warping, cracking, checking and pests while looking like new for years to come. Since they’re also weatherproof, that means you can easily use them outdoors as an exterior accent as well.
When looking to create an incredible truss design, you need look no further than our custom beams. With over a thousand different size combinations, we’re able to give you a beam to perfectly suit your needs. You also have the option of both a 3-sided or 4-sided beam and the ability to have them closed off with end caps. No matter the project or design, we’re certain that our simulated wood beams will work for you.
Note: The Heavy Sandblasted foam wood beams may have screws embedded below the surface. We recommend using a hand saw (not power tools) when cutting these beams. You may find these screws with a stud finder. Barron Designs is not responsible for any bodily harm or damage to your equipment. Click Here to view instruction on finding screws in beams.

Phenomenal Beam for Interior Lighting Project (Mar 27, 2014)
I could not be happier with the beam I ordered. I wanted to order a shorter beam to hang in between my kitchen and living room so that I could hang some vintage-style ball jar lights from them. After scouring the internet for a solution that was better than real wood beams, I stumbled on FauxWoodBeams. This solution is perfect for the everyday customer as well as commercial uses. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
I have posted a how-to overview of my project with detailed pictures over at http://shawnphoffman.com/home-projects/2014/03/vintage-ball-jar-lighting-part-5-final/
basement project(Feb 18, 2014)
Our basement is full of imperfections we keep trying to fix/cover up. One of the imperfections is the support beam that was installed, to replace the support pole that was previously there. While the support beam does the job, it was installed & covered up poorly. A "wooden" beam cover was ideal for the support beam issue. We chose it in Cinnamon color to add warmth & character. We recently painted the room black and wallpapered some of the walls. The room feels warm and cozy, which is the effect we wanted to achieve. I'm sure most people don't like black walls, but we do.. Although we are very pleased with the result, there are a few issues that disappoint. However, they have nothing to do with the product or the company. Due to the length of our support beam, we had to order a 14' long custom heavy sandblasted beam, which turned out to be pretty expensive. Additionally, adding the cover to the support beam, blocked some of the light that was coming through from the ceiling lights in the dart board area. The room does feel darker now, compared to before. The product and delivery itself was great. No complaints there. Our disappointments are mostly due to a design/remodeling issue.

Very satsified(May 24, 2013)
We just installed four 8 inch by 8 inch 18 foot long beams on the 18 ft high ceiling in our living room. We bought 20 ft beams, cut them and contoured them to fit on top of our molding.
The installer watched the installation video and that was enough for them. The light weight of a beam (25 lbs) made installation relatively easy given their 18 foot length and 18 foot height. Scaffolding was necessary.
Look fantastic!!! Completely satisfied.
