Faux Resawn wood beams are known for their subtle detail that is pleasing to the eye and adds a relaxed touch. The shallow, sweeping lines of the wood grain draws your attention across the beam without needing to be deep, weathering or jarring in appearance. The most noticeable feature of these beams is the slightly rough look to the grain pattern which in real wood is caused by the cutting technique.
Resawn beams are available in five Standard and four Premium color options, plus thousands of custom size combinations to accommodate any design scheme.
The beams offer a light weight and durability that can’t be matched by real wood. Made from high-density polyurethane, they readily withstand the weather, and won’t chip, crack or succumb to pest damage. Installed indoors or out, they’ll look like new for years to come.
The secret to the beam’s realistic look lies in the manufacturing process. A mold is created from a real wood beam, the polyurethane foam is then poured and set within that mold to capture every nuance. Your friends, family and neighbors won’t be able to tell the difference.
The virtually maintenance free design and material will mean that there is no costly upkeep and no fear of regular replacement or repairs. Just pop these up on your ceiling and reap the benefits.
Note: The Resawn foam wood beams may have screws embedded below the surface. We recommend using a hand saw (not power tools) when cutting these beams. You may find these screws with a stud finder. Barron Designs is not responsible for any bodily harm or damage to your equipment. Click Here to view instruction on finding screws in beams.

My kitchen with resawn beams :-)(Mar 19, 2015)
I had used this product before in a previous home and loved it. Nobody believed they weren't real wood until I showed them a scrap piece. This time I added a larger beam lengthwise and smaller beams extending out from there. I LOVE IT, and so does everyone else. Our customer service rep in our development said he was going to send people to our house instead of the model!

product is high quality. A few pieces were damaged in shipment but were able to deal with the dings with a little stain and placement of the imperfections. The beams fooled everyone! Great addition to our kitchen, family and bedroom.
