Our customers say... "We liked these so much in our ski house in Lake Tahoe that we ordered more! Now, the downstairs area of our house is homier, cozier, and definitely more beautiful. These look great."
Rough Sawn Arched is a curved beam that allows you to create a rustic and warm atmosphere in your home – anywhere you would use real wood beams, without the heavy weight, difficult installation or high cost. These decorative wood beams are made of durable, lightweight polyurethane, making them a perfect solution for any vaulted ceiling or archway.
Real antique rough sawn wood gets its rustic charm from the course texture left by the large saw blade when the wood was first milled. We keep that appeal by using a real wood beam to create a master mold. This mold perfectly mimics the nuances of the rough sawn wood, ensuring that each curved beam created is practically indistinguishable from the real thing.
When you combine the Rough Sawn Arched beams with straight beams, you can create a wide variety of rustic and cozy architectural elements for vaulted ceilings and archways. With a variety of length and radius options to choose from, you can easily create gentle angles, sharper curves or even semicircles in you design plans.
With four color choices – walnut, cedar, java and oak – and unfinished, you can use them in any décor. The beam's natural wood grain pattern and texture will convince everyone you used real wood, but unlike genuine rough sawn wood, these arched beams won't attract termites or carpenter ants, succumb to moisture and weather or require periodic resealing.
The Rough Sawn curved beam makes it possible for you to create the look of antique, genuine wood trusses – while reaping the benefits of decorative wood. Put them up on your ceiling and enjoy.
Note: The Rough Sawn beams may have screws embedded below the surface. We recommend using a hand saw (not power tools) when cutting these beams. You may find these screws with a stud finder.
