After months in our loft, a work/live space, we decided to use regal 2
beams and straps to improve our space and make it more intimate. The
difference is amazing -- adding regal 2 beams instantly created a
finished and cozy atmosphere in a grand gallery space. Now we rent out
our place for a bundle!
The windswept texture of raised grain beams adds a subtle but compelling presence to your interior or exterior decor.
The way we make all of our faux wood beams is the same. We start with an actual real wood beam. We then sand blast the real wood beam to raise the grain to make it more pronounced. Then we make a high quality mold out of the distressed real wood beam. This mold is used to make the faux wood beam. All of the characteristics of the real wood beam are perfectly copied to the faux wood beam.
The availabily of four-sided beams makes it the ideal choice for creating trusses for that timber framed look.
Raised Grain 3-sided Beams
Raised Grain beams come with open ends (no end caps)
The sizes shown on this page are nominal, unless otherwise noted.

Raised Grain 4-sided Beams
4 sided beams are great for making trusses.
You can visit our portfolio to see some more design ideas.
A strap can be used as a decorative element or to hide seams. Use a strap when splicing two beams together to make one long beam. There is a specific strap made to slide right over each size beam, see chart below.

Universal Flexible Straps
This strap is made out of rubber and comes rolled up. It is very easy to use. Roll it out to the desired length and simply cut it with scissors. Then glue it to the beam using an approved adhesive such as liquid nails.
