The manufacturing process of our faux wood beams begins with the genuine article — real wood beams. We axe hew the real wood beam using techniques from a bygone era, preserving all the tooling marks that give it true character. Then we make a high-quality mold from the wood beam and pour polyurethane into that mold. The result is an exact replica of a real wood beam for your ceiling!

We enjoyed working with this product. My husband is a finish carpenter and found the ease of working with this product very surprising. We installed 9-20' beams in little over 4 days. The beams were great to work with. This being the first time we used them we didn't know what to expect. To our amazement they were easy to handle and went up quickly. Everyone looks at them first when walking in the room and ignore the corner fireplace with stone facade. Many of our vendors and trade partners have commented on how real they are.

Builders are always looking for ways to improve their homes and save money at the same time. We build upper end homes where the clients want the best. Real timbers were creating warranty issues due to shrinkage in the timbers when the home was conditioned. Labor and installation was also very costly. We tried your beams out in a spec home and a client home and both applications were so well received that we now sell the benefits of your product up front when we design the homes. When we show our clients the product installed in these beautiful million dollar homes they cannot believe that they are faux beams and love the idea of saving money. I get so many compliments on my Rustic beam ceilings - everyone wants to know where I found them and comment on how hard it must have been to install them - thinking they where real!! the beams cut like butter and where so simple to install - they where very easy to be creative with.
We installed lights in them - that too was a piece of cake I am looking for other areas in my home to enhance with faux Products.

I Purchased four 16 foot Rustic beams to go in my Man-Room with fireplace etc. Shipping was easy. Staining was easy. Installation was fun.....definitely need two people. Not heavy, just long. No one knows they aren't real unless I tell them. Would definitely recommend this product.

Quick and Easy Installation(Dec 17, 2008)
We install these beams in our italian restaurants throughout the country. They give the restaurant an authentic Tuscan look and feel. I have never had a complaint from a general contractor about installation. Because they are lightweight and 16' lengths, installation as a ceiling grid is made easy. They can be cut to any size or on the diagonal to take in to account any slope. They install quickly, easily and look great!

Homeowner introduces Builder to Faux Beams!(Nov 18, 2008)
I'd seen Faux Beams used in a home remodel on HGTV. When it came time to build our house I told our builder I wanted beams that are lightweight, rustic and look real. He planned to create beams from boards & I looked at a home with similar fabricated beams. The seams were evident. I was NOT impressed. I searched on HGTV for the "beams of my dreams" & up popped Faux Wood Beams.com! The beams we selected matched the width of our room perfectly, the color was exactly what we were looking for, shipping was rapid & installation on a 16ft. high ceiling took a morning to complete. What a transformation! Our builder said the Faux Beams were easier to install than he expected & look better than his fabricated ones, plus they actually cost less than what he could make! We have the benefit of truly real looking rustic beams without the cost or installation fuss of real wood. Everyone who sees our room swears the beams are real! WE LOVE OUR FAUX WOOD BEAMS and tell everyone about them!

We were working on a restaurant where the client wanted a metal tin ceiling however the ceiling area needed to be broken up. We have always wanted the opportunity to use the faux beam product on one of our jobs so we decided to use them here. As you can see, they make a big difference in the appearance of the room and match the overall design. Unless someone told you, you would not even think for a single moment these beams were not real. Now that we have used them, we look forward to many more projects with this type of product.
