No one can believe they aren't real wood! (Feb 13, 2013)
We added some suspended beams to the great room of our newly constructed home. Wow, we absolutely love the look and cozy feel that they give to the otherwise large, open room. Everyone that has come to see our new house can't believe that they are not reclaimed beams. We couldn't be happier with our purchase!

Beams are awesome! (Jan 2, 2013)
We installed the beams in our bedroom to give it a trobical hut type of feel. They look extremely authentic and were easy for my contractor to install. We love them and are so happy we went with these Faux beams. They are way better than I was even hoping for!

couple of saw horses and table saw 12" is best (Sep 25, 2012)
My Faux beams arrived from Florida to Iowa in perfect condition, 4 to a box. Easy to install with 2 foot 2x4's placed for beams to fit over and attach to with nail gun. My orginal ceiling was 9 foot ceiling planks, and these beams made the ceiling look lower and added a more comfortable feeling to the room. NOT One regret of this order. The beams certainly look REAL..

Way easier to install than the real thing (Aug 3, 2012)
I was skeptical at first but they look really good. We have real wood beams on the lower ceilings and these on the vaulted ones. Contractor said they are much easier to install than the real ones.

Look perfectly real (Jan 12, 2011)
We put four beams along the [high] ceiling of our family room. The color and detail of the sandblasted product is just like the real thing. The hardest part was cutting them to fit exactly and tight across the 17' span. I couldn't have hoped for a better quick fix for my family room.

So Simple (Nov 13, 2010)
We had been wanting beams in our livingroom for years and weren't comfortable installing large, heavy pieces of lumber on the ceiling. We found this product online and were amazed at how realistic, light-weight and easy they were to install. Totally transformed our "blah" living room. Absolutely fantastic product. Great service as well.

Perfect touch (Oct 14, 2010)
I was looking for a cheap and simple way to impress my friends and I finally found it. It's good that I'm not friends with anyone who would know the difference, but these beams make my house look like it's worth more. Exactly what was needed for my boring ceiling.

Great look when done - minor issues (Jul 25, 2010)
They are great when installed and finally done. Only 2 issues.
First we ordered 5 beams. They came in one (1) package of 4 and a single package of 1. We told the person at our house to expect 5 beams but when she saw only two packages, she was confused and almost refused acceptance. At the time of order acknowledgement, there should be a description of how they will be packaged for shipping.
Second, and maybe we missd this, they did not accept a direct stain. We had to paint them first and then apply stain to get the color we wanted. They are perfect just not as simple as we thought.
Other than that - PERFECT!!!

Easy to use and looks like the real thing. (May 7, 2010)
The order arrived when and as stated. The beams are easily cut and installed. The hardest part of the job is installing the wooden blocks needed to nail the beams onto the ceiling. The instructions were clear and had illustrations.
One additional product that would be a huge help is "filler" matching the beam color to fill in the nail holes. I found I had to mix a couple colors to get one that would not be obvious.

Great product (Feb 11, 2010)
I love faux wood beams. I'm an interior designer and spec these beams all of the time. Easy to install, easy to buy and order on-line and/or over the phone, fast delivery, and great customer service. The only bummer is that it doesn't come in longer lengths.

The beams are absolutely stunning. (Feb 25, 2009)
We ordered THREE Unfinished Sandblasted Beams sized W 8" x H 6" x L 16' for our family room's cathedral ceiling that measures 23 feet high in hopes of the perfect finishing touch in creating a cozy atmosphere in a grand space. Please notice the slanted/angled ceilings in our space. The beams are absolutely stunning. The dark mahogany stain that so meticulously matches the remainder of the houses wood finishes helps the modern flow of our home. They look SO real. We have received numerous compliments about the beams. EVERYONE'S mouth drops when we tell them that they are faux. They respond, "You mean they are NOT real wood?". 95% of the time our guests do not believe us until we show them a piece of the remainder cut portions. We have already recommended Fauxwoodbeams.com.

Easier (and lighter) than it's 16ft wood counterpart (Dec 18, 2008)
The biggest attraction was having a single light beam to span a 16' 6" span 14 feet off the floor. The installation was simple for 2 people and it was easy to sand the edges to make the piece fit up the sides of the wall. I can't image the weight and difficulty of installing a real wood beam - plus I never had to move the pool table!
