Our Custom Woodland, Custom Tuscany, Raised Grain, Rustic, Rough Sawn Beams and Rough Sawn Mantel Shelves can be purchased as Class A fire-rated. It will add 15-25% to the price (depending on the product).
When Class A Fire Rated is chosen for the Custom Woodland, and Custom Tuscany, Beams and/or Mantles, these are made with a Class A Fire Rated Polyurethane Foam and is Class A Fire Rated through and through. These Beams and/or Mantles can be Class A Fire Rated in any of the standard colors, including Unfinished so that you can paint or stain these Fire Rated items any way you want.
To achieve the class A Fire Rating, a Flame Seal® coating is applied to the Raised Grain Beams, Rustic Beams, Rough Sawn Beams, and Rough Sawn Mantles. Flame Seal® is meant to bubble and blister when it comes in contact with fire. This bubble acts as a buffer (wall) between the flames and our product. Flame Seal® isn’t to be used in exterior applications as it turns a milky white when it comes in contact with moisture. For this same reason, the Raised Grain Beams, Rustic Beams, Rough Sawn Beams, and Rough Sawn Mantles are not offered with the Flame Seal® coating.
