We've been doing a lot of remodeling and I was a bit nervous ordering a mantel sight unseen, but the look and price were appealing - happy to say it turned out to be just what I'd hoped (and arrived without any shipping issues). For the install, it was lightweight and easy to put up, but looks substantial.

I purchased this for a fireplace remodel and it came wrapped up tight and in great condition. I've had friends come over asking what kind of wood it was and did not believe me when I told them it was faux wood. The install was quick and easy. Very pleased with the looks and feel of it.
