This page will instruct you how to install our faux
wood and real wood fireplace mantel shelves.
Faux Wood Mantels (Basic)
1. Simply mount a 2 x 4 on your wall.
2. Slide our mantel over the 2 x 4.
3. Then put screws through the top of the mantel
to anchor it into the 2 x 4. You could apply construction adhesive
on the edges of the mantel for extra security.
Faux Wood Yellowstone Mantels
The following are instructions on how to install a Yellowstone simulated wood fireplace mantel shelf with the supplied ‘French Cleat’.

Hold the wooden mounting strip on the wall with the notch facing up while using a level to make sure it is straight.
Make sure the notch on the wooden mounting strip is facing up, as shown above.
While holding the mounting strip level, put 3 screws into the wooden mounting strip attaching it to the wall.

Next, place the mantle on the wall over the wooden mounting strip. Make sure the wooden strip on the wall and inside the mantle securely interlock.

Real Wood Mantels
The installation is easy.
1) Simply mount a 2 x 4 and on your wall.
2) Mantel will slide over the 2 x 4.
3) Then you should screw the mantel to the wall. We recommend
using construction adhesive as well for extra security.
