Good product, but an inch short for two
(Jul 15, 2019)I made and put up faux beams and bought these straps for the joint of them in the middle. My beams were 1x8 sides and 1x6 bottom which with the sides made the bottom 7" wide. The strap I bought was literally 1" short to be able to use for two beams.
I could have adjusted my beams but they were already built when I found these. So I had to order two of them for two beams. However, that aside, they were good to work with for the most part and look realistic.

Easy and economical
(Jun 6, 2019)We wanted some kind of straps for our faux beems but didn’t want to spend a lot of money. These worked out perfectly. They are rubber so installation was easy. We brad nailed them on and they were on the cheap end of our budget. We’re very happy with the outcome.

The gap is no more
(May 5, 2018)We had a gap where the beams met the wall. We use the straps to cover up that gap it looks like the beams are now attached into the ceiling and completely covers the gap. Awesome

Beams
(Jul 16, 2016)I wanted dropped beams with up lighting running the length of the beam. I found this web site and loved the look and choice of styles. I chose to finish them myself and with the help of the representative it was very easy and they came out great. Everyone that sees them cannot tell that they are "faux" and not "real wood".

Custom Beam Straps
(Sep 9, 2015)Although the straps do look like the real thing, I found the custom beam straps hard to work with. They are difficult to fit snuggly against the beam splices and the beam splices are often uneven making the degree of difficulty even more of a problem. Videos should address this if there is in fact something we as the "general public" should know? The best solution I found was to nail them in place to hold them overnight along with carpenter clamps. I also cut slots on the back side of the strap to allow for better more conformable bends in the material. The color caulking also helped hide imperfections.

Looks like metal...
(Jun 20, 2015)We needed to join two "beams" leaving a seam so we ordered the strap. It looks like metal and we are very pleased that it wasn't terribly difficult to install.

Flex Straps
(Oct 16, 2013)I liked the look of the straps from a distance, nice look. They seem to be pretty stiff, thus trying to bend at the corners of the beams seemed a bit difficult to get them to lay close to the beam at the corners. Overall, pretty nice product.

Very pleased
(May 22, 2013)We found the beams on line by just simply surfing the web. We called customer service and they were very informative. We had some concerns with regards to the shipping. We had the beams shipped to our home in Newfoundland, Canada. It was a smooth transition. We paid the difference in duty from CAD to USD and when the beams were being sent through customs, they called me for my credit card and paid the duty. Within a very short time, the beams arrived. The installation was relative easy and being that the product is made of a light weight material, this made the install much easier. The product itself is amazing and looks remarkably close to the real thing. Everyone that views our ceilings are amazed at how great and realistic it truly does look. I would recommend this product to everyone and would use it again!
