Sandblasted Ceiling Beams bring a calm unity to your home décor with their smooth classic form.
We start with an actual real wood beam. We then sandblast that real wooden beam to raise the grain more pronounced. The final step is to make a high-quality mold out of the distressed real wood beam, perfectly copying all of the characteristics of the real wood beam.
Important! Any Timber or Sandblasted Beams and/or Corbels intended to be used in an exterior application needs to be top coated with a high quality clear coat exterior polyurethane with a UV inhibitor to protect the stain from fading.
NOTE: If you are looking to cover and existing Beam or Column, you CANNOT use these Beams (or any of our monolithic/molded as one piece Beams). This can be accomplished by using either our Custom Beams, Quick Ship Timber Beams, or Real Wood Beams. You cannot use any beams other than the aforementioned Beams in this type of application. Due to the nature of our manufacturing process, Monolithic/Molded as one piece Beams can have considerable variations on the Inside dimensions and shape of the Beam (even from Beam to Beam on the same size OD Beams). Please see our FAQ regarding this for more detailed information on covering existing Beams: click here.

Put my beams up over bead board planks to cover a popcorn ceiling. It looks great. The beams came undamaged and perfectly flat along the bottoms. Good stuff!
Using a Faux Beam was a great decision. We went with the Walnut Sand-Blasted look and it is beautiful. We have already had many comments on it and it is a focal point coming into our entryway, and everyone thought it was a real wood beam. We thought it might be difficult to install but with two twelve foot ladders and two guys who knew how to use a drill it went up fairly easy. We made the cleats out of two pieces of two by four attached to the ceiling ridge with 8" screws. One note, measure, measure, measure before you cut and it will slide right in. Also, we had one issue of delivery of the first beam in that it arrived snapped in two due to bad handling by the shipper. Faux Beams support was great, and they sent a replacement beam packaged properly, and it was resolved quickly.
Definitely buy this product! It is the best thing out there.
Everyone who handled and has seen the beam can believe that it's been manufactured and not real wood. Our carpenter was very impressed with ease of installation. Shipping was quick. One error upon delivery, however the company corrected it right away. The beam looks like it was always there and adds beautiful warmth to the room.
I was trying to finish a new house for my daughter before her baby was born this past November when she threw the idea of heavy beams separating the foyer and dining. No way I thought not enough time. I was looking on the internet trying to make it happen when I saw your site. I gave you a call and you had me the perfect beam in under a week. We needed two beams one 12' and one 8' so we ordered a 22' and cut it. From the time we opened the package to installed complete was two hours. Looks awesome and the next day the painters wondered how we mounted the huge heavy beams not realizing until they touched them they were faux beams. Love them and absolutely perfect. Thanks so much
The sand-blasted walnut beams have transformed our lake house. They are so authentic looking and beautiful we are looking for other areas of the house that we can apply them. They were packaged exceptionally well with no blemishes or scratches.
The client loved the warmth the rustic beams brought to the room. She was satisfied and we were very happy with the end result.
They are so realistic looking, it is hard to believe they are not real wood.
Thanks for making such a great product that makes it affordable for anyone to have beams in their homes.
I am a custom homebuilder with plenty of experience using real wood beams. By far, this faux wood product is incredible. I used them in my personal home and not a single person knows they aren't real wood unless I tell them. Worth every penny!!!
The faux beams look great and the installation was easy for our crews. Highly recommend the company and product.
As a homeowner, I was able to find the look I wanted from the site, calculate the size of beams (I choose bigger for center) and quantity. I had my contractor install the beams in 1 1/2 days. it took two men but was easy for them to handle and install. The look is exactly what I wanted and everyone loves the look-it really does look like real wood. I am so happy with my new great room!
Great quality, very attractive, looks like the real thing. Highly recommended.
I thought they were pricey compared to other sites that I looked at. Once stained they are gorgeous.
We added some suspended beams to the great room of our newly constructed home. Wow, we absolutely love the look and cozy feel that they give to the otherwise large, open room. Everyone that has come to see our new house can't believe that they are not reclaimed beams. We couldn't be happier with our purchase!
This product gives a relatively cheap & easy way to redecorate a room. It really adds dimension and character to any space.
These are fantastic. Easy to install, look like real wood, and totally change the look of the kitchen in our ski house.
We installed the beams in our bedroom to give it a trobical hut type of feel. They look extremely authentic and were easy for my contractor to install. We love them and are so happy we went with these Faux beams. They are way better than I was even hoping for!
My Faux beams arrived from Florida to Iowa in perfect condition, 4 to a box. Easy to install with 2 foot 2x4's placed for beams to fit over and attach to with nail gun. My orginal ceiling was 9 foot ceiling planks, and these beams made the ceiling look lower and added a more comfortable feeling to the room. NOT One regret of this order.
The beams certainly look REAL..
I was skeptical at first but they look really good. We have real wood beams on the lower ceilings and these on the vaulted ones. Contractor said they are much easier to install than the real ones.
I recommend these beams to any new built or remodelling job, they look great and is very easy to install.
Looks like it continues right thru the way!!
Easy to install and looks just like original wood. We used it for the upgrade we did in our kitchen and the results are amazing
Purchased the pre finished beams for the kitchen ceiling of a model home. They look great!
These beams are better than I imagined them to be. The color is beautiful and it just makes the room.
i would reccommend these to anyone looking for more beauty to there house, inside or out.very easy install.looks so cool, look real....
We put four beams along the [high] ceiling of our family room. The color and detail of the sandblasted product is just like the real thing. The hardest part was cutting them to fit exactly and tight across the 17' span. I couldn't have hoped for a better quick fix for my family room.
We had been wanting beams in our livingroom for years and weren't comfortable installing large, heavy pieces of lumber on the ceiling. We found this product online and were amazed at how realistic, light-weight and easy they were to install. Totally transformed our "blah" living room. Absolutely fantastic product. Great service as well.
I was looking for a cheap and simple way to impress my friends and I finally found it. It's good that I'm not friends with anyone who would know the difference, but these beams make my house look like it's worth more. Exactly what was needed for my boring ceiling.
They are great when installed and finally done. Only 2 issues.
First we ordered 5 beams. They came in one (1) package of 4 and a single package of 1. We told the person at our house to expect 5 beams but when she saw only two packages, she was confused and almost refused acceptance. At the time of order acknowledgement, there should be a description of how they will be packaged for shipping.
Second, and maybe we missd this, they did not accept a direct stain. We had to paint them first and then apply stain to get the color we wanted. They are perfect just not as simple as we thought.
Other than that - PERFECT!!!
The order arrived when and as stated. The beams are easily cut and installed. The hardest part of the job is installing the wooden blocks needed to nail the beams onto the ceiling. The instructions were clear and had illustrations.
One additional product that would be a huge help is "filler" matching the beam color to fill in the nail holes. I found I had to mix a couple colors to get one that would not be obvious.
I love faux wood beams. I'm an interior designer and spec these beams all of the time. Easy to install, easy to buy and order on-line and/or over the phone, fast delivery, and great customer service. The only bummer is that it doesn't come in longer lengths.
We ordered THREE Unfinished Sandblasted Beams sized W 8" x H 6" x L 16' for our family room's cathedral ceiling that measures 23 feet high in hopes of the perfect finishing touch in creating a cozy atmosphere in a grand space. Please notice the slanted/angled ceilings in our space. The beams are absolutely stunning. The dark mahogany stain that so meticulously matches the remainder of the houses wood finishes helps the modern flow of our home. They look SO real. We have received numerous compliments about the beams. EVERYONE'S mouth drops when we tell them that they are faux. They respond, "You mean they are NOT real wood?". 95% of the time our guests do not believe us until we show them a piece of the remainder cut portions. We have already recommended Fauxwoodbeams.com.
The biggest attraction was having a single light beam to span a 16' 6" span 14 feet off the floor. The installation was simple for 2 people and it was easy to sand the edges to make the piece fit up the sides of the wall. I can't image the weight and difficulty of installing a real wood beam - plus I never had to move the pool table!
